2. Sign Taylor Gabriel

The Philadelphia Eagles, another team that desperately needed wide receiver help, added a lot of talent. The Eagles placed an emphasis on adding speed to their offense, drafting Jalen Reagor in the first round, John Hightower in the fifth and Quez Watkins in the sixth. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, they also traded a sixth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for receiver Marquise Goodwin.

The Packers, meanwhile, did absolutely nothing. Like the Eagles, Green Bay’s offense needs a speedy receiver. After not drafting one, Brian Gutekunst needs to look at other ways of improving the position.

One option would be to sign Taylor Gabriel, who is still unsigned after becoming a free agent last month.

Gabriel would give the Packers a big-play receiver who has the speed to run past defenders and make plays deep downfield. He averages 12.5 yards per reception in his career. In arguably his best season, which Matt LaFleur saw up close as part of the Atlanta Falcons coaching staff that year, he averaged 16.5 yards per catch, finishing the season with 579 yards and six touchdowns.

After not drafting a receiver, the Packers could still get better at the position by signing Gabriel. He could make a difference in LaFleur’s offense.
