Grading all nine of the Green Bay Packers’ 2020 draft picks.

It was a head-scratching draft class for the Green Bay Packers, to say the least. Now is the time to give Brian Gutekunst some grades for his picks.

With a need at wide receiver, many expected the Packers to take one of the best available pass-catchers in the first round. And if not then, certainly at some point on Day 2. But that was far from the case.

The Packers instead traded up in the first round to select their quarterback of the future, Utah State’s Jordan Love, a decision that has left many fans unhappy. Following this, they selected Boston College running back AJ Dillon and Cincinnati tight end Josiah Deguara to complete the second day.

After a long wait until the end of the fifth round, Green Bay’s first selection on Day 3 addressed the defense with Minnesota inside linebacker Kamal Martin.

The Packers used all three of their picks in the sixth round on the offensive line. They added Michigan guard Jon Runyan Jr., Oregon center Jake Hanson, and Indiana offensive tackle Simon Stepaniak. In the seventh round, Green Bay added TCU safety Veron Scott and Miami defensive end Jonathan Garvin.

The Packers didn’t draft a single wide receiver with their nine picks. Not one.

So, let’s go pick by pick through the class and hand out grades for the Packers.
