The Packers’ preseason schedule has been announced, which will give Jordan Love his first opportunity to impress.

We already knew the Green Bay Packers‘ 2020 regular season schedule in full, and now the preseason games have been finalized.

The preseason games will draw more interest than usual as first-round pick Jordan Love will likely see plenty of game time. It’ll be his first opportunity to impress in a live game working in Matt LaFleur’s offense, and a chance to see how he performs against NFL talent.

The Packers will open up the preseason with two home games, before hitting the road for the final two. Here’s the schedule in full:

Week 1: vs. Arizona Cardinals (Saturday, Aug. 15, 12 p.m. CT)

Week 2: vs. Cleveland Browns (Saturday, Aug. 22, 3 p.m. CT)

Week 3: at New York Giants (Saturday, Aug. 29, 7 p.m. CT)

Week 4: at Kansas City Chiefs (Thursday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m. CT)

The Packers will be hoping Love can become the next Patrick Mahomes, a first-round pick who sits for a year (or more in Love’s case), learning and developing his game before going onto become an MVP and Super Bowl winner when the time comes to take over the starting job. Green Bay will visit Arrowhead Stadium to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the final preseason game.

The starters tend not to play much, if at all, in the fourth game. That could lead to extended playing time for Love.

Playing two road games in the third and fourth week of the preseason isn’t ideal as the Packers also begin the regular season on the road. That means they’ll be on the road for three weeks in a row. It’s not a particularly big concern but it’s worth noting.

Preseason isn’t usually a particularly interesting event for fans, but this year there will be a lot to watch in the four games.
