Seven Green Bay Packers players have made the CBS Sports Top 100 players rankings.

The Packers made last season’s NFC Championship Game not just because of their superstar quarterback, but because of elite players at many positions.

They were far from perfect and had many areas of concern in 2019, and that will be no different this season. But the Packers have game-winning players on their roster and that’s why they’ll be in the mix in the NFC again this season.

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has ranked the top 100 players in the NFL for 2020, and seven Packers make the list.

Aaron Rodgers leads Packers in CBS Sports Top 100

The talk about Aaron Rodgers‘ “decline” has been exaggerated. He’s still one of the most efficient, accurate, and consistent quarterbacks in the league. He’ll be one of the best again in 2020, and some more familiarity with the scheme will help.

Rodgers comes in at No. 10 in the rankings, and he’s far ahead of the rest of the team.

Edge rusher Za’Darius Smith led the league in quarterback hits last season in what was a career-year for the free-agent signing. He comes in at No. 28 in Prisco’s rankings. Pass-rushing teammate Preston Smith, who was also signed by the Packers last March, also makes the rankings at No. 89.

Another key member of the pass rush, defensive tackle Kenny Clark, deservedly makes the list at No. 92 after a Pro Bowl season.

While there has been some surprise about the lack of weapons added on offense this offseason, Rodgers still has some elite players alongside him in Green Bay.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams makes the rankings at No. 48, left tackle David Bakhtiari at No. 85, and running back Aaron Jones at No. 95.

If these seven players can stay healthy, the Packers will have a strong core of talent on both sides of the ball.
