Three Packers make PFF50 rankings ahead of 2020 season
Three Packers have made the PFF50 rankings for 2020.
The Green Bay Packers will be relying on their core players to help guide the team back into the playoffs again in 2020.
There are concerns with the positions Green Bay failed to address in the offseason, but the team still has elite talent across the roster.
These players will be crucial to the Packers’ success.
Adams, Clark, and Bakhtiari in Top 50
Pro Football Focus is currently counting down the top 50 players in the NFL ahead of the 2020 season in its “PFF50” rankings.
PFF is yet to announce the top 10 players in the rankings so it’s possible more Packers will make the list. So far, from positions 50-11, three Packers have made it.
Davante Adams comes in at No. 38, David Bakhtiari is ranked No. 42, and Kenny Clark is at No. 44.
It’s no surprise to see these three players make the rankings. All three are among the best at their positions in the NFL and are among the most important players for the Packers this season. Green Bay can’t afford to lose any of them to injury.
Despite all of the Packers’ issues at the wide receiver position in recent seasons, Adams continues to consistently play at an elite level. He was far and away Green Bay’s top receiver last season despite missing a month of action and being less than 100 percent for a while after returning from injury. Since the start of 2016, Adams has 4,265 yards and 40 touchdowns.
Clark is strong against the run and also one of the league’s best interior pass rushers. He has 16.5 sacks over the past three seasons and is a key part of Mike Pettine’s defense.
Bakhtiari has been the most consistent pass-protector in the league over the past half-decade. According to Pro Football Focus, Bakhtiari has the highest pass-blocking grade from 2015 to 2019. He’s also been an All-Pro in each season since 2016.
Should any Packers players make the top 10 of the PFF50?
