Aaron Jones

How Aaron Jones didn’t make the Pro Bowl last season is beyond me. What more did he need to do? No player in the NFL had more rushing touchdowns than Jones and the Packers’ star running back also added three receiving touchdowns. In the postseason, he found the end zone four times in just two games.

Competition for spots on the NFC roster is tough each year with so many star running backs in this conference, but Jones absolutely deserved a spot based on his performances last season.

But despite missing out in 2019, he’ll have a great opportunity to make the team this year. Even with the addition of AJ Dillon in the second round of April’s draft, Jones will still have a featured role in Matt LaFleur’s offense.

Dillon’s powerful running style will make life difficult for defensive linemen and linebackers. The Packers’ new thunder-and-lightning combination could be tough to stop and Jones will have a huge role to play.

It’s also possible his role in the receiving game will increase. He made some big plays through the air in 2019, including his incredible touchdown catch against the Oakland Raiders.

Jones is a star. It’s only a matter of time before he’s a Pro Bowler.
