Jaire Alexander

One of the most talented young cornerbacks in football, Jaire Alexander will look to take the next step in his third season with the Packers. So far, he’s made the Packers’ decision to trade up for him in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft look like a genius move. His first Pro Bowl selection could await in 2020.

Alexander needs to improve his consistency to take that next step but he’s well on his way to stardom. He’s shut down some talented receivers over the past two seasons and is a master of breaking up passes. Alexander led the Packers in passes defended in 2019, and his total of 17 was tied for fourth-most in the NFL.

Alexander was 20th in Pro Football Focus’ rankings of the best players in the NFL under 25 years old. The former first-round pick has helped turn Green Bay’s secondary into a strength and he will be a key player in the coming years. Along with Kevin King, the Packers have a strong starting combination on the outside.

If Alexander can continue to develop and improve in his third season, and become more consistent, there’s no doubt he’ll soon be selected to the first of many Pro Bowls in his career.
