1. Jordan Love

All eyes will be on Jordan Love at training camp.

Despite the fact that Love isn’t expected to start anytime soon, and also that it could be years until he eventually replaces Aaron Rodgers, his performances over the summer will be one of the top storylines at training camp.

Off the field, the focus will be on his relationship with Rodgers. But how he performs on the practice field will also be must-see. Especially if the preseason is scrapped and he doesn’t get the opportunity to earn some valuable snaps against other teams in August.

How Love connects with wide receivers up against an NFL defense will be the first signs of his development as the Packers’ backup, and potential future starter. Can he protect the football better than in his final season at Utah State, when he threw 17 interceptions?

What the Packers will be hoping to see is potential. They won’t be expecting Love to be ready to become the face of the franchise, but if he shows the potential to develop into a star player, there will be good reason to be excited.

While it’s certainly fair to say that the main focus should be on the players ready to help this team in 2020, let’s be honest, Love’s performances at training camp will be among the top storylines for the Packers over the summer.
