Los Angeles Rams: DT Aaron Donald

I’ll be honest, this was so easy.

Aaron Donald might be the best player in all of football. He is a freak athlete who is coming off of a season in which he had 12.5 sacks, which was actually a letdown considering he had 20.5 the season prior. And before you bombard me with the “but we already have Kenny Clark” comments, you could line Donald as an end as well.

That’s the benefit of his freakish athleticism. He can play anywhere on the defensive line and command double teams, opening rushing lanes for the Smith Bros. and Clark. Imagine an offensive line having to deal with all four of those guys. Donald, Clark, Preston Smith, and Za’Darius Smith are all capable 10-plus-sacks-a-year guys. From stopping the run to terrorizing quarterbacks, that defensive front would be scary.

The addition of Donald, combined with my steal of Patrick Peterson would not only make the Packers one of the best defenses in the league right now, but also an all-time great Packers defense. The trenches down to the secondary, this Packers defense would be elite. After the addition of my next pick, I am very confident this defense would have the Packers still playing late in the postseason.
