Seattle Seahawks: ILB Bobby Wagner

We’re just going to keep padding this defense. From the Seattle Seahawks, I’m going to steal inside linebacker Bobby Wagner. Offenses beware.

You were probably thinking after the Aaron Donald selection, “man, if only the Packers had some stud linebackers, they would be so great”. Well, here’s your guy. Wagner is a monster patrolling in the middle of the field and he would benefit from the Packers’ scary defensive front.

Wagner is a hard-hitting guy himself who can shoot the gaps in the offensive line and make plays in the backfield. He’s a smart football player who would fit this augmented Packers defense perfectly. Wagner and Christian Kirksey would make a great pair in the center of the Green Bay defense. After losing Blake Martinez in the offseason, adding Bobby Wagner into the mix would clear a lot of uncertainty in the Green Bay linebacker room as well. He could even serve as a mentor to younger, less experienced guys like Oren Burks, Ty Summers, and Kamal Martin.

Barring injury, Wagner would turn the Packers from a relatively weak linebacker group to a very strong one. That’s also assuming Kirksey can stay on the field.
