O.J. Howard – TE

O.J. Howard remains on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ roster ahead of the 2020 season, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be tempted with a trade. Howard will lose snaps to new addition Rob Gronkowski but imagine the kind of impact he could make in Green Bay.

Howard, a first-round pick in 2017, is yet to make the kind of impact many expected of him in the NFL, but that could all change in his fourth season and in a new offense. In three years, Howard has put up 1,456 receiving yards with 12 touchdowns. If he remains with the Bucs, bringing in Tom Brady would give him consistent quarterback play, and that would help, but with targets going to Gronk, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin, it’s easy to see Howard struggling to make a big impact.

That wouldn’t be the case in Green Bay. With a lot of unproven talent at the tight end position, Howard could step right into a featured role and become a top target for Aaron Rodgers.

Howard would be the Packers’ number one tight end with the potential to become a key part of Matt LaFleur’s offense immediately. And with two years left on his deal, this would be a great move for the Packers.
