Five pending free agents the Packers must re-sign in 2021.

By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the long list of talented players set to hit free agency next offseason for the Green Bay Packers. The reality is the Packers will lose some key players to free agency a year from now. The job for general manager Brian Gutekunst is to re-sign a few of those players and replace the others. Not an easy task.

In this article, I’ve picked five players the Packers should re-sign. Now, due to the salary cap and the fact they can’t re-sign everybody, this means some star players have been left out. As great as it would be to bring back all five of David Bakhtiari, Kenny Clark, Aaron Jones, Corey Linsley, and Kevin King, that’s not realistic. The Packers might be able to bring back two or three, but they will need to replace the others.

The fact they drafted a running back in the second round then three offensive linemen on Day 3 is perhaps a sign they don’t expect to re-sign Jones or Linsley next offseason. But that remains to be seen.

So, given the fact they can’t keep everybody, here are five players I think Gutekunst needs to ensure are re-signed for the 2021 season and beyond.
