Aaron Rodgers

Ever since the Green Bay Packers traded up for Jordan Love in the first round of April’s draft, much of the discussion has been about when Aaron Rodgers will be replaced. But Rodgers has talked about wanting to play into his 40s and stay with the Packers.

There has also been a lot of talk about Rodgers’ “decline”, how his numbers have dropped and how he’s not the same player he once was. Even the “Madden 21” video game gave Rodgers a rating below 90.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years watching Rodgers, it’s to never write him off. From “R-E-L-A-X” to “run the table”, Rodgers has often found his best form when he, or the Packers, have been written off.

With all the talk about his future with the Packers, his possible decline, and eventual successor in Green Bay, you can bet Rodgers enters this season with a point to prove. You might think a two-time MVP and future Hall-of-Famer doesn’t need to prove anything, which is right, but Rodgers will be aiming to show why he’s still the man to lead the Packers to a championship, and why he’s still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
