2. Jake Hanson

Jake Hanson could have a big future ahead of him with the Packers. The center was one of three offensive linemen to be selected by Green Bay in the sixth round of this year’s draft. While Hanson isn’t likely to compete for regular-season snaps this year, barring injuries, he could be a future starter at center.

Hanson would’ve undoubtedly played a lot of snaps in the preseason, which would’ve been a perfect opportunity to prove himself as the potential successor to Corey Linsley at center in 2021. Last year, Elgton Jenkins made the most of his opportunities in the preseason. According to Pro Football Focus, Jenkins didn’t allow a single pressure during the preseason. He lined up at multiple positions and had to have impressed the coaching staff.

Had it not been for a Lane Taylor injury early in the season, Jenkins still might’ve had to wait longer for his opportunity to start. But it was only a matter of time before he became a starting lineman for the Packers. And his performances in the preseason would’ve helped showcase his talent.

The same could’ve been true for Hanson, another potential future starter for the Packers. Now, he’ll need to make the most of his opportunities at practice.
