2. Jace Sternberger

The Packers have high expectations for second-year tight end Jace Sternberger. And he should see a big role in Matt LaFleur’s offense this season. The Packers released last year’s starting tight end Jimmy Graham earlier this offseason, then didn’t draft a wide receiver. With Devin Funchess not playing this season, there will be plenty of targets for Sternberger.

After missing half of his rookie season, expect to see Sternberger on the field a lot during training camp working with the first-team. And don’t be surprised if we hear about Sternberger making play after play during practice.

Sternberger is going to play a key role for the Packers offense this season, but he needs valuable reps at training camp. That’s why he could be the team’s training camp MVP.

1. Darnell Savage

Darnell Savage is a future star and impressed in his rookie season. Savage is already an important starter for the Packers defense, and he’s one of the second-year players I’m most excited about.

Savage has the talent to lead Green Bay in takeaways this season and we could see signs of this at training camp. Aaron Rodgers is known to take a few more risks when throwing the ball at practice, which could give Savage some opportunities for interceptions.
