Conference Championships

AFC: Ravens (2) def. Chiefs (1)

NFC: 49ers (1) def. Cowboys (2)

As head coach of the Packers, Mike McCarthy’s teams were eliminated twice by the 49ers in the playoffs. His first season with the Cowboys is a great one, but it’s once again his former team that ends his current team’s playoff run.

The 49ers are too good. They have a dominant defense and added talent on offense, including wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in the first round of the draft. San Francisco makes it back to the Super Bowl a year after losing to the Chiefs in the big game. But will it be a rematch?

It won’t. The defending champions lose at home to the Ravens, a team that underachieved last season with a shock divisional-round loss to the Titans. This year, Baltimore moves onto Raymond James Stadium to set up a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII.

Super Bowl LV

Ravens def. 49ers

And just like when these two teams met in the 2012 season, it’s the Ravens who are the winners. The 49ers’ season ends with the disappointment of losing back-to-back Super Bowls.

It’s set to be an unusual NFL season, and there’s a possibility the Super Bowl could be played with no fans in the stadium.
