Packers contenders again: NFL 2020 record predictions for every team
AFC West
- Kansas City Chiefs (14-2)*
- Las Vegas Raiders (10-6)*
- Denver Broncos (6-10)
- Los Angeles Chargers (6-10)
Our final AFC division to predict is the home of the defending Super Bowl champions, and they will continue their dominance this season. Fortunately, the Packers don’t have to worry about playing the Kansas City Chiefs for a few more years. When the two teams met last season, Patrick Mahomes was out of with injury and Green Bay got the victory at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs have been able to keep the core of their roster together, and the offense has the potential to get even stronger this season. We already know about the receiving corps Mahomes has to throw to, featuring All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill, former first-round pick Sammy Watkins, and second-year Mecole Hardman. But now the Chiefs have a new running back, first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
The Las Vegas Raiders could be a much-improved team this year. With help needed on defense, the Raiders signed linebackers Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski, as well as cornerback Prince Amukamara.
The offense also has a lot of potential. Second-year running back Josh Jacobs should only continue to improve, and the receiving corps now features three rookie receivers, including first-round pick Henry Ruggs III, joining tight end Darren Waller and Tyrell Williams. The Raiders could be fun to watch on offense.
With the Raiders winning 10 games, they secure a wild-card berth.
