1. Allen Lazard shows signs of breakout season ahead

It could be a big season for Allen Lazard, who stepped up as the number two pass catcher in the Packers offense last season. Despite the need at wide receiver, the Packers didn’t draft one. And with Devin Funchess opting out, there is an opening for Lazard to establish himself as the clear number two receiver in this offense.

With more familiarity in the scheme and a year to build a connection with Aaron Rodgers, look for Lazard to improve in 2020. At training camp, we’ll see the signs of a possible breakout season ahead for Lazard.

2. AJ Dillon wins the number two RB job

Even after there was no offseason program in the team facility, and less time to prepare in training camp, AJ Dillon can make a real impact this year. His power as a runner and ability to pick up yards after contact will make him tough to stop, no matter the defense.

While Jamaal Williams has been a valuable part of the Packers offense for the past few seasons, Dillon could dominate, particularly in short-yardage situations, earning more snaps as a result.

A thunder-and-lightning combination of Aaron Jones and Dillon could take the Packers’ ground game to the next level. Expect a fast start from the Packers’ second-round pick.
