Packers news today: Allen Lazard key to success on offense
A roundup of the latest Green Bay Packers news for Saturday, August 15.
Welcome to the Packers news today.
After what has felt like an incredibly long offseason, the Green Bay Packers will return to practice today, which is their first at training camp. With just four weeks to go until the Packers kick off their 2020 season against the Minnesota Vikings, every practice session counts.
It remains to be seen whether the five players currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list will return for practice today. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the five Packers on the list — kicker Mason Crosby, long snapper Hunter Bradley, tight end Jace Sternberger, defensive tackle Treyvon Hester, and linebacker Greg Roberts — were not activated on Friday.
As Demovsky notes, it could happen on Saturday morning in time for practice, but that remains to be seen.
