Packers: Three takeaways from second training camp practice
Three takeaways from the Packers’ practice on Monday.
After having Sunday off, the Green Bay Packers were back out on the practice field on Monday for the second time in this year’s training camp.
There was good news at the start of practice as both tight end Jace Sternberger and defensive tackle Treyvon Hester were activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Initially, five players were on the list, now there are only two: long snapper Hunter Bradley and linebacker Greg Roberts.
Monday marked the first of four consecutive days of practice. According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers will be on the practice field on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. CT, Thursday at 10:10 a.m. CT, before being off on Friday.
According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers will practice in full pads on Tuesday. That should make for an interesting practice.
You can never take too much away from the practices at training camp. Strong performances over the summer don’t always translate to success in the regular season. That said, it’s still interesting to see the development of players, as well as what roles individual players could have this season.
So here we go. Here are three takeaways from the Packers’ second training camp practice.
