Offensive line (10) – 29/53

David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Corey Linsley, Lane Taylor, Rick Wagner, Billy Turner, Lucas Patrick, Jon Runyan, Jake Hanson, Jared Veldheer

Wait, Jared Veldheer? But he’s not currently on the Packers’ roster.

Correct, but that could change in the near future. Billy Turner is currently dealing with a knee injury that could keep him out of the season opener. It would be a smart decision to bring back Veldheer, who filled in at right tackle when Bryan Bulaga missed the divisional round due to illness. That was just eight months ago. Veldheer showed he can still play and he’d be a great addition as a backup tackle.

If the Packers don’t re-sign Veldheer, Alex Light will likely be the swing tackle. Don’t forget that Veldheer was signed to replace Light after he had struggled in the regular season.

Elsewhere, Turner’s injury just about ends the right guard competition with Lane Taylor starting, which was a possibility anyway after he’s put together a dominant training camp. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Taylor finished training camp a perfect 14-0 in one-on-one drills.

Two of the Packers’ three rookie offensive linemen — Jon Runyan and Jake Hanson — make the 53-man roster, while Lucas Patrick is one of the top backups at guard and center.

Overall, the offensive line looks strong, but the depth at tackle is concerning with Turner injured.
