Packers news today: Potential surprise cuts ahead of Week 1
A roundup of the latest Green Bay Packers news for Thursday, Sept. 3.
Welcome to the Packers news today.
Up until this week, the Green Bay Packers had been relatively healthy at training camp without many players suffering long-term injuries. But they will now be without inside linebacker Kamal Martin for at least six weeks, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.
Demovsky also reported that offensive lineman Billy Turner could also be out of the regular-season opener with the Minnesota Vikings due to a knee injury.
And just like that, two important players are out with injuries. Let’s hope they both make quick recoveries and can help this team in 2020. And let’s also hope for some better injury luck for the Packers in the second half of the week.
