Packers at Vikings Week 1: Start time, live stream, TV info and more
How to watch or listen to the Packers’ season opener.
Nine months ago, the Green Bay Packers walked out of U.S. Bank Stadium with their first victory in the Minnesota Vikings’ new home, taking the NFC North title with them.
After a challenging offseason due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Packers return to action to begin the defense of their division crown. It starts where they secured the NFC North title last season, on the road against the Vikings.
It’s an early Sunday afternoon game, and here’s how you can watch or listen to the game:
Date: Sunday, Sept. 13
Kickoff time: 12:00 p.m. CT
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Stadium: U.S. Bank Stadium
TV channel: FOX
Radio: WTMJ Milwaukee/WIXX Green Bay
Live stream: NFL.com Live Stream, fuboTV
The Packers enter this game close to full strength, although they’ll likely miss tackle/guard Billy Turner and defensive tackle Montravius Adams, who are both doubtful to play. Linebacker Randy Ramsey has already been ruled out.
This will be a big test for Matt LaFleur’s team to kick off the new season. This will be the first live game action either team has seen since the playoffs as there were no preseason games.
Considering the importance of a division victory, against another playoff contender no less, neither team can afford to start slow. A win here would be huge for both sides, a key divisional victory and an early advantage in the NFC North.
LaFleur led the Packers to a sweep of their division rivals last season, including two victories over the Vikings. We haven’t seen this team have such dominance in divisional games in quite some time, so LaFleur will be hoping to replicate that success this year, starting on Sunday.
Where will you be watching or listening to the game this week? And do you think the Packers will get the all-important victory against the Vikings?
