Free agents for the Packers to consider ahead of Week 3.

While the Green Bay Packers‘ start to the regular season is about as impressive as any around the league, the success starts with the offense. On the defensive side of the football, there are still some major areas of concern that Matt LaFleur, Mike Pettine, and the Packers need to fix in the coming weeks. Today, we’ll look at three free agents who can help.

The Packers will have a real test this week as they face the New Orleans Saints on the road. If the offense can continue their high level of play, they’ll have every chance of winning. However, the defense will also need to play its part.

One player the Packers won’t be signing is tackle Jared Veldheer, a name regularly discussed as a potential option after his impressive run with the team last year. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Veldheer has decided to retire after it looked like he would sign with the Dallas Cowboys. The offensive line has played well despite dealing with a number of injuries the past two weeks.

So, which three free agents should the Packers consider signing after the opening two games of the season? These players can help fix some of the biggest areas of need for this team ahead of Week 3.
