Eight players are on the Packers’ Week 3 injury report.

The focus for Green Bay Packers fans this week will be on the status of star players Davante Adams and Kenny Clark ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

The Packers released their first injury report for Week 3 on Wednesday, and neither Adams (hamstring) or Clark (groin) practiced.

It’s too early in the week to know if they have a realistic chance of playing this weekend, but it’s obviously not ideal that they were out of practice on Wednesday.

It’s possible Sunday’s game could feature two great offenses without their star wide receivers. For the Saints, Michael Thomas didn’t practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. He missed the Saints’ Week 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

If there’s good news for the Packers, it’s that outside of Adams and Clark, everyone on the injury report practiced.

Jaire Alexander (hand), center Corey Linsley (thumb), and guard/tackle Billy Turner (knee) all practiced fully. The fact Linsley practiced fully is great news as it suggests he’s able to snap the ball without any issues after injuring his hand.

Rookie tight end Josiah Deguara could be in line to return this week after missing the Detroit Lions game due to ankle and shin injuries. Deguara was limited at practice on Wednesday. Hopefully, he’ll be ready to go this week.

Defensive tackle Montravius Adams (toe) and linebacker Randy Ramsey (groin) were also limited at practice.

A few key players are on the injury report for the Saints. Along with Thomas, edge rusher Marcus Davenport (elbow) didn’t practice on Wednesday. Pro Bowl tackle Terron Armstead (groin) was limited.

Both teams are currently missing key players on both sides of the ball. Let’s hope all of the injured players can get healthy in time for a blockbuster Week 3 clash between two of the best teams in the NFC.
