Packers: 3 bold predictions for Week 4 game vs. Falcons
1. Aaron Rodgers throws five touchdown passes
Aaron Rodgers is on fire and playing some of the best football of his career. He now gets a matchup with a Falcons defense ranked second-worst against the pass after giving up an average of 350 yards through the air in the opening three weeks. Atlanta has also given up nine touchdown passes, tied with Dallas for the most in the league.
Those stats will be music to Rodgers’ ears, who leads a Packers offense averaging a league-best 40.7 points per game.
To make matters worse for the visiting team, the Falcons will be without cornerback Darqueze Dennard, who has been placed on injured reserve.
To make matters even worse for the Falcons, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams could make his return in this game. Adams’ hamstring will need to be 100 percent, but he returned to practice on Thursday, a good sign he could be available this week.
This Packers offense can win through the air against the Falcons defense, so expect Rodgers to take full advantage. With 887 yards and nine touchdowns with zero interceptions in his opening three games, Rodgers is throwing the ball as well as any quarterback in football right now. Against a struggling Falcons defense, and potentially with Adams back, Rodgers puts up five touchdowns.
