Davante Adams’ status is still up in the air for the Packers’ Monday night meeting with the Falcons.
It’s still unclear whether either wide receiver Davante Adams or defensive tackle Kenny Clark will be available for the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
Adams has practiced all week, but head coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t commit to him playing this week.
LaFleur said that whether Adams plays will be a game-time decision.
Now, it’s entirely possible that LaFleur is uncertain himself. But it could also be that he knows whether Adams will be available or not, and simply doesn’t want to give away any information he doesn’t need to. Adams will likely be listed as questionable for the game, leaving the Atlanta Falcons unsure whether they’ll come up against the Packers’ star receiver.
It’s a similar scenario for Clark.
With two days to go, we have absolutely no clue whether either star player will be on the field against the Falcons.
And the same is true for two important players for the Falcons, wide receiver duo Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, both Jones and Ridley will be listed as questionable on the final injury report.
Both teams will release their injury report later today, but it seems we’re going to see a lot of game-time decisions. We might not know until 90 minutes before kickoff whether Adams, Clark, Jones, or Ridley will be out there. All four players will be so important for their teams in this game.
One receiver we know won’t be available is Allen Lazard for the Packers. Lazard had core muscle surgery this week and will miss some time. Don’t be surprised if Lazard is placed on injured reserve in the coming days.
If you’re a fantasy owner with Adams on your team, pick up Marquez Valdes-Scantling if he’s available to give you some cover if Adams doesn’t play Monday night.
