Week 8: Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have shown some signs of life over the past two weeks, even if their record doesn’t show it. They secured their first win of the year two weeks ago against the Texans, then looked set for an upset win against the Seattle Seahawks, eventually losing by one point. Minnesota will also have the advantage of entering this game off of its bye week.

However, much like in the season opener between these two teams, there’s little to suggest Minnesota will have an answer for Green Bay’s offense. The Vikings have allowed at least 27 points in each game this season. In two games they’ve allowed more than 30 points, and once (against Green Bay), they allowed over 40.

With the Vikings playing the Atlanta Falcons before their bye, it’s entirely possible Minnesota will enter this game 2-4 aiming to save its season. Desperate for a win, and it being a divisional game, you could definitely make a case for the Vikings pulling off the upset.

However, once again, the contest between the Packers offense and Vikings defense is a mismatch. And getting to play at home doesn’t hurt either, even if there are no fans in attendance.

The Packers’ incredible start continues and it’s their best record after seven games since 2011.

Prediction: Green Bay 35, Minnesota 27 (7-0)
