5. Aaron Rodgers

Stat line: 23/34, 283 yards, 4 TDs

A week after one of the worst performances of his career, Aaron Rodgers bounced back with one of his typical games.

He only had 11 incompletions and threw for three touchdowns before halftime.

Rodgers’ four touchdowns were to three different receivers, Adams (2), Jace Sternberger, and Malik Taylor, giving Sternberger and Taylor their first regular season NFL touchdowns.

What makes Sunday’s performance even more impressive is he did it without his blindside protector there to ensure his safety. Billy Turner and the rest of the offensive line did a great job giving Rodgers as much time as they could on their way to a zero sack day.

Rodgers was under duress at times, but he got the ball out quick and made plays outside the pocket when the line couldn’t hold.

Rodgers has played superb in five of the six games this season despite a lack of weapons. Outside of Davante Adams and Aaron Jones, the Packers have two solid contributors in Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan. He does not have near the weapons of a team like Kansas City, Tampa, or even the Dallas Cowboys.

Those teams have invested heavily in skill positions where the Packers have not.

Still, Rodgers keeps rolling along embracing head coach Matt LaFleur’s system and making plays.

The Packers have tougher games ahead and injuries, especially this year, will play a part. But the Packers are in good position and still have two games against their biggest competition in the North this year, the Chicago Bears.

Hopefully they can avoid any serious injury and start to get players back soon. If so, this team can make a run as deep as last year with hopefully a better outcome.
