Three takeaways from a disappointing Packers performance.

After winning his first eight divisional games as Green Bay Packers head coach, Matt LaFleur tasted defeat for the first time in a surprise loss to the Minnesota Vikings. And it was a performance he’ll want to forget quickly.

An embarrassing performance by the defense and a frustrating one for the offense, the Packers fell to the Vikings in Week 8. It was only Minnesota’s second victory of the year. The result opens up the NFC North race between the Packers and Chicago Bears and also hurts the Packers’ chances of winning the division, let alone securing the number one seed.

Green Bay has now lost two of its past three games after the bye week, which is a concern. After a strong 4-0 start, the team is now 5-2 with one of its toughest games on the schedule coming up in just four days.

The good news for Green Bay is that this was just one game. If the team can get back on track on Thursday night, they’ll still be in a great position.

It was a frustrating performance but let’s take a look back at the game. Here are the top three takeaways from the disappointing Week 8 loss to the Vikings.
