3. Important four days coming up

This is exactly the type of performance the Packers didn’t need just four days away from an NFC Championship Game rematch with the San Francisco 49ers.

We’ve seen the Packers’ struggles when traveling to the West Coast. They will now do that trip on a short week. And to make it worse, the Vikings just beat the Packers with the exact same game plan we should expect from the 49ers, who have an even stronger team to make it happen.

Maybe this is exactly what the Packers needed. Perhaps they will now make some key adjustments ahead of Thursday night.

It’s also important to note that this is a week-to-week league. This was an awful performance by Green Bay, but equally it can turn around in four days. The Packers are still one of the best teams in the league, but they have work to do.

Perhaps we’ll see a move or two before the trade deadline on Tuesday. A defensive tackle or wide receiver could help strengthen the roster for the remainder of the season. It might not help the team for Thursday’s game, but for Week 10 and beyond, it certainly could.

This was a tough loss but the Packers are still set at 5-2. They now need to refocus and get ready for a tough challenge four days from now.
