3 takeaways from Packers’ Week 9 victory vs. 49ers
After a big win for the Packers, what did we learn?
A game Green Bay Packers fans waited all year for.
Even against a San Francisco 49ers team dealing with an unbelievable amount of injuries, this was an impressive victory by the Packers, who were also down a number of key starters and lost more players during the game.
The Packers also had to travel on a short week with a lot of uncertainty surrounding the game, while COVID-19 protocols also impacting their week of practice. The Packers were able to put all of that to one side and get the job done in style on Thursday night.
Green Bay’s sixth victory of the year was a big one, earning a crucial head-to-head tiebreaker over San Francisco while also putting up another victory inside the NFC. It could count for a lot when January arrives and we’re looking at playoff scenarios.
It was also important to bounce back from Sunday’s surprise defeat to the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. This team has never lost back-to-back games in the Matt LaFleur era. Had they done so on Thursday, it would’ve also been their third loss in four weeks following the bye.
This was a huge win. Here are three takeaways from the performance.
