The Packers dominated the 49ers in a game that had key players out on both sides.

The Green Bay Packers were able to exercise some demons from last season with this victory over the San Fransisco 49ers. There is going to be some drama surrounding both teams getting hit with Covid, as well as injuries.

The 49ers in particular were missing a lot of players. Jimmy Garoppolo and George Kittle were already out with injuries and then add in the guys that were on the reserve/COVID-19 list this week. Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel were all placed on the list and they proved to be some brutal losses for the team.

The 49ers were so beat up that they basically fielded a JV squad on Thursday against Green Bay. A win is a win but this is somewhat disappointing because this could have been a huge test for the Packers, and could’ve been a real statement win if San Fransisco was even just a little more healthy.

Green Bay played without some key players themselves. David Bakhtiari and Kevin King were already injured coming to the game. Then add in Jamaal Williams, AJ Dillon, and Kamal Martin, who were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Packers needed others to step up in their absence.

So as we always do after a Packers victory, we’re going to take a look at three players whose stock rose, and there were quite a lot to choose from because this was a dominant victory.
