Packers: Three winners from Week 9 win against the 49ers
By Cody Young
Davante Adams had yet another monster game for the Packers
Winner #1: Davante Adams
Davante Adams is my biggest winner from last night. Adams is an elite receiver who is really making a case for best WR in the game with his performance this season.
He had his third game this year of more than 150 receiving yards and is leading the league with eight touchdowns this season. What’s even more impressive about this is that he has only played in six of the Packers’ eight games so far.
The one knock on Adams is that he does get injured; it’s rare that he plays all 16 games. But when he is healthy, he is an absolute game-wrecker. The connection he has with Aaron Rodgers is truly remarkable, and it seems like Rodgers knows where Adams is at all times and has full trust in his ability.
There has been a lot of talk of Adams’ name being mentioned in the best WR conversation, and with his play as of late, it’s honestly kind of hard to justify leaving him out. This was yet another monster game for Adams and there is no reason to think that he can’t keep it up.
Final thoughts
This game should have been a major test for Green Bay. Unfortunately, due to injuries and real-world circumstances, that wasn’t the case. A win is still a win but I think this team still has some problems that a good team will exploit.
