Week 12: Chicago Bears

This is a big one.

Led by their defense, the Chicago Bears have kept themselves very much in the NFC North race. However, this feels like a far more winnable game than the last one.

The key reason is Chicago’s struggling offense. Averaging just 20.1 points per game, fifth-lowest in the NFL, the Bears might need their defense to get a touchdown to keep up with the Packers’ offense.

Under Matt LaFleur, the Packers have never lost two in a row. They’ve also been dominant in divisional games with an impressive 8-1 record in a season-and-a-half. Following a loss to the Colts, they bounce back with a huge divisional victory.

The second meeting between these teams will be an important game, but this one might actually matter the most. A win for the Packers could potentially put some daylight between the two teams, depending on the results to come in the next few weeks, of course. A win for the Bears could be enough to take over first place ahead of the final stretch of the season.

At home, I’m predicting a Packers victory, maintaining LaFleur’s undefeated record against the Bears as head coach. This would be a huge win at home.

Prediction: Green Bay 27, Chicago 14 (8-3)
