Wide receivers: B+

Only one wide receiver in the NFL is averaging over 100 receiving yards a game this season. That would be Davante Adams (112.5 yards per game). Adams has 675 yards and a league-best eight receiving touchdowns, which is incredible as he’s only played in six games.

Adams is making a strong case for being the NFL’s number one wide receiver.

There was a lot of talk about the Packers’ need for receiver help alongside Adams this past offseason. Unfortunately, that still looks to be the case. However, there have been plenty of positives. Allen Lazard was on fire before getting hurt, posting 254 yards and two touchdowns in three games.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has three touchdowns and is averaging over 17 yards per catch, but he’s had too many drops and inconsistent play. Outside of the top three, the Packers lack depth at receiver.

Still, Adams is on pace for a historic season and having the top three WRs healthy at the same time will help this offense.

Tight ends: B-

Robert Tonyan’s production has been a pleasant surprise this season. He’s tied for second on the team with 314 receiving yards to go with five touchdown catches. Jace Sternberger’s role has grown in recent weeks with five catches in the past three games.

The Packers don’t have a star tight end like George Kittle or Travis Kelce, but the production from the tight ends is the best we’ve seen in quite some time.
