Corey Linsley had a brief but rough day for the Packers

Dud #3: Corey Linsley

Corey Linsley is a great center and is probably a little underrated. Linsley is someone who isn’t always talked about as a top-tier center but I’d say he is right there with some of the other top guys in the league.

Linsley probably had his worst game of the season. He and Aaron Rodgers had a rare miscue when snapping the ball, and he came out of the game with an apparent back injury. He’s had some back issues throughout the season so it was a little scary at first but it seems like he won’t be out long-term.

He most likely will be out a couple of weeks. Luckily the Packers are pretty deep and flexible along the offensive line so they can plug-and-play guys. Jon Runyan Jr. is someone who has come in multiple times this year and has played admirably.

Runyan looks like he will be playing at guard while the ever-versatile Elgton Jenkins will play center until Linsley can return. This can be looked at as somewhat of a tryout for next year for the rookie possibly. With Linsley being a free agent next year, good play from Runyan can make their decision a little easier than expected.
