Packers: 21 players on Wednesday’s injury report for Week 12
The Packers have 21 players on the injury report for Week 12.
Another week, another long injury report for the Green Bay Packers.
They have 21 players in total on this week’s report ahead of Sunday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Two players listed on the injury report — defensive tackle Montravius Adams and linebacker James Burgess — have now been placed on injured reserve. They will now both have to miss at least three games.
The good news is that most players on the injury report practiced on Wednesday. Outside of Adams and Burgess, only cornerback Josh Jackson didn’t practice due to a concussion.
Thirteen players were listed as limited participants at Wednesday’s practice. That includes wide receiver Davante Adams who is still dealing with an ankle injury, cornerback Jaire Alexander due to knee and hand injuries, and center Corey Linsley with a back injury.
Adams has been able to play through the ankle injury so it should be expected he’ll be fine barring a setback. The fact Alexander and Linsley were able to practice suggests their injuries aren’t serious.
Five players, including inside linebackers Christian Kirksey and Kamal Martin, were full participants which is great sign that they will be healthy for Sunday’s game.
Packers unsure which quarterback they’ll face in Week 12
The Bears have some injury questions too.
Starting quarterback Nick Foles didn’t practice due to a hip injury. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky is also on the injury report with a shoulder injury but practiced in full. If Foles is out, will the Bears turn back to Trubisky?
Star defensive tackle Akiem Hicks missed practice due to a hamstring injury. His status is unclear for Sunday’s game.
It’s Week 12. Both teams are dealing with a number of injuries. The Bears have the advantage of coming off their bye week.
We’ll learn more through the week.
