2. Rodgers wins third MVP

Now, let’s focus on the other half of the best quarterback-wide receiver duo in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers might not be considered the favorite for the NFL MVP award this season, but he deserves to be in strong contention.

In my mind, it’s a two-way race between Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. Yes, Russell Wilson is second for passing yards this season and has a league-best 30 touchdowns, but he’s also thrown 10 interceptions, fourth-most in the NFL this season.

When it comes to Rodgers and Mahomes, their numbers are close this season. Here’s a comparison without revealing which stats belong to each player.

QB A: 3,035 passing yards (first in NFL), 67.9 completion percentage (14th), 27 touchdowns (third), two interceptions, 114.3 passer rating (second).

QB B: 2,889 passing yards (fifth), 68.2 completion percentage (10th), 28 touchdowns (second), four interceptions, 115.8 passer rating (first).

Which quarterback would you take? If you haven’t worked it out, QB A is Mahomes, QB B is Rodgers. Even if Mahomes is slightly ahead, it’s close.

Both quarterbacks are having incredible seasons and belong in the MVP race. Here’s my bold prediction: Rodgers doesn’t throw another interception this season and sets a new career-best in passing touchdowns.

Not only that, he takes home his third NFL MVP award.
