Packers coach Matt LaFleur is confident Davante Adams will play this week.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams continues to deal with an ankle injury that has limited him at practice the past couple of weeks.

Adams was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday’s practice but didn’t practice on Thursday. However, we shouldn’t be concerned just yet.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is confident Adams and center Corey Linsley (back injury) will be fine to play this week.

If you want another reason to be confident, just take a look at last week’s injury report. Adams was limited on Wednesday, didn’t practice on Thursday, was back to limited on Friday and didn’t carry an injury designation. He didn’t seem to have any limitations in the game on Sunday when he caught seven passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay’s long injury report got even longer on Thursday with cornerback Kevin King and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling both added. Oddly, both players are dealing with Achilles injuries and were listed as limited participants on the injury report.

The fact is that it’s Week 12. Every team around the league is dealing with a number of injuries. Players battle through injuries throughout the season. It’s no different for the Packers.

Or Sunday’s opponent, the Chicago Bears.

The Bears could be without two key players on Sunday, quarterback Nick Foles and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks. Foles, dealing with a hip injury, hasn’t practiced yet this week. Hicks has a hamstring injury that has also kept him out of practice so far this week.

As ever, Friday’s injury report will give us a much clearer picture of which players will be available for both teams on Sunday night.

The good news for the Packers is that LaFleur is confident Adams will be fine to play. And considering how impressive he was against the Indianapolis Colts defense even with an injured ankle, he could have another big performance this week against the Bears.
