Packers: Three winners from Week 13 win over Eagles
By Cody Young
The Packers may have just played their most complete game this season.
The Green Bay Packers avenged yet another loss from last season as they took on and beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. The offense looked outstanding and the defense did more than their fair share to keep the team in the game.
One part of the game where Green Bay still struggled was special teams. For the second time this year, the Packers have given up a punt return touchdown and still won the game which is a rather impressive feat.
The special teams of the Packers have been a weakness of the team for many years and for whatever reason they just can’t get much luck in that aspect of the game. The addition of veteran and long-time return specialist Tavon Austin should help out in the future.
This was a game that I was feeling pretty confident about coming into the week. The Eagles are a struggling team right now on both sides of the ball and a loss would have been rather deflating for the team.
Doug Pederson’s seat may be getting a little hotter while Matt LaFleur’s is as cool as ever. The Packers head coach called yet another beautiful game, in what has been a season filled with many of them.
It’s about time that LaFleur starts getting some recognition as coach of the year because he certainly deserves to be in the running. Just like I do after every Green Bay win, let’s look at three winners from the game.
