Aaron Jones was having a solid if unspectacular game heading into the fourth quarter. Jones had a respectable 55 yards on 13 carries for a four-yard-per-carry average when the Packers lined up for a much-needed answer for the Eagles’ return touchdown making the game 16-23.

Then the answer came, and the difference between Jones and Jamaal Williams was made clear. Jones burst through a hole on the left side, breaking an arm tackle then racing down the field for a 77-yard score juking and breaking a couple more tackles along the way.

Jones wasn’t alone in his quest to score. Marquez Valdes-Scantling made up for a dropped pass earlier in the game throwing a key block. Big ol’ 310-pound David Bakhtiari was also along for the run, sprinting down the field looking for someone to plant.

Then as Jones crossed the goal line, the rest of the Packers squad was there to help celebrate. And there was a fantastic response to keep the game out of reach.

Jamaal Williams is a fine player and has done well when giving Jones a breather, but that run was the exact reason why Jones is the better player. Williams doesn’t have the same wiggle and explosiveness as Jones. And Jones showed both on that run.
