1. Aaron Rodgers

Let’s start with the main man in charge, Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay’s best bet to put their first-half woes against the Lions to rest is for Rodgers to get off to a hot start.

Rodgers loves playing indoors and is playing as well as he ever has.

Depending on which expert you ask, Rodgers is either just ahead or just behind Patrick Mahomes in the race for MVP. These next four games will determine if 12 wins his third.

Detroit is beat up in the secondary with Desmond Trufant already on injured reserve and Jeff Okudah likely out with a hamstring injury.

Rodgers is in line for a monster game. With the way the line is playing, Rodgers should have plenty of time to pick apart Detroit’s weakened secondary. If the Lions can’t find a way to get some kind of pressure on Rodgers, it could be a long day for their defense.

The season started off with more questions than answers for what kind of weapons the Packers put around Rodgers but Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Big Bobby Tonyan and his duo of running backs have been more than enough to make this one of the most potent offenses in the league.

As his comfort has grown, so too have the statistics. This is the type of game Rodgers could set himself apart from all others in the race for MVP.

Go on the road, put up monster numbers against a division rival, and come away with a win, and he could not only find himself in the driver’s seat for the MVP but also with the NFC North crown for the second year in a row.
