Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Vikings)

If the New Orleans Saints win one of their remaining four games, they will have wrapped up the NFC South title. So if the Packers win the NFC North, they’ll have a higher playoff seed than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For that reason, the Bucs’ results aren’t all that important from a Packers’ perspective. Unless, of course, they lost every week from here on out and didn’t make the postseason.

Why this game matters is because Tampa Bay can help Green Bay wrap up the NFC North title. If the Packers get the win over the Lions on Sunday and the Bucs defeat the Minnesota Vikings, the division race will be all over with three games spare.

It would also weaken the Vikings’ wild-card hopes, which is never a bad thing.

This game carries less importance than some of the others as it’s less likely to have a significant impact on the Packers’ playoff seeding. They are unlikely to be caught by the Vikings in the NFC North, which means neither team in this matchup will be able to earn a higher seed than the Packers.

But for Green Bay to win the NFC North this week, it will need to win and either Tampa Bay win, or this game be a tie.
