2. Packers pass rush has another dominant performance

The Packers’ pass rush is beginning to heat up with 10 sacks and 19 quarterback hits over the past two weeks.

Preston Smith has looked much more himself with 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hits, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in that time.

Green Bay’s pass rush doesn’t get quite as good a matchup as last week. No team has allowed more sacks than the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the Lions are also among the worst in the league having allowed 33 sacks this year.

Six different players contributed at least half a sack in last week’s win. That’s a good sign that this defense is beginning to provide constant pressure across the front seven.

Matthew Stafford has put in some fine performances against the Packers over the years. He’s a talented quarterback with good receiving options, but the Lions’ offensive line will be tested on Sunday.

I predict another good game for the Smith Bros., Rashan Gary, and Kenny Clark, leading to multiple pressures, quarterback hits, and sacks.

Green Bay sacked Stafford four times in the Week 2 victory. The pass rush is playing its best football of the season. Expect this defense to continue to build momentum against the Lions.
