Darnell Savage is questionable for the Packers in Week 14.

The Green Bay Packers could be thin at safety on Sunday when they take on the Detroit Lions.

It was announced earlier this week that Raven Greene had been placed on injured reserve. Now Darnell Savage is questionable for Week 14 after being added to the injury report on Friday with a groin injury.

Savage has played some of the best football of his career in recent weeks and has three interceptions in the past two games.

It’s never good when a player is added to the injury report as late as Friday. According to the injury report, Savage was limited at Friday’s practice.

That could mean he has a minor injury which won’t keep him out of the game. It’s also possible with the injury happening just a couple of days before the game, he’ll have to sit out.

Considering how well he’s been playing recently, this would be bad news for the Packers’ defense and frustrating for Savage.

The Packers have ruled out two players.

Rookie guard Simon Stepaniak, who was activated to the active roster this week, isn’t ready to make his Packers debut just yet. Second-year tight end Jace Sternberger has been ruled out with a concussion.

Along with Savage, wide receivers Equanimeous St. Brown and Malik Taylor are questionable to play this week.

St. Brown has been dealing with a knee injury and also had a concussion. However, it’s worth noting that after not practicing on Wednesday, he was limited on Thursday and then a full participant on Friday, a good sign.

It’s looking less likely Taylor will be active. He was added to the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury and didn’t practice on Friday. We’ll see if the Packers update his status for Sunday’s game over the weekend.
