Corey Linsley: Walks

Corey Linsley is currently out of action with a knee injury but is having his best year as a Packer. According to ESPN, Linsley is the top-ranked center in run block win rate and third in pass block win rate.

It’s great news for the Packers this season. The offensive line is on fire and is a huge reason why the offense leads the league in scoring. However, it will also make it far tougher to work out an extension in the spring. Unfortunately, Linsley could be playing elsewhere in 2021.

Aaron Jones: Walks

This is a tough one. Aaron Jones is a star running back and so important to this offense. However, being able to afford to re-sign him will be a real challenge for the Packers next offseason. Jones has a new agent and will be looking for a big contract after showing just how talented he is in recent years.

Even though all teams will be impacted by a lower salary cap, there will still be plenty with more money than the Packers to make a deal happen.

Jamaal Williams: Walks

Surely they’ll re-sign Jamaal Williams if Jones walks? I’m not so sure, either. Another team could view Williams as a starting running back which he could also be in Green Bay if Jones walks. However, once again, the potential price tag could be an issue for the Packers. One has to wonder whether the Packers had an eye on the future when drafting AJ Dillon in the second round.
