Will the Packers earn the NFC’s number one seed?

The number one seed will belong to the Green Bay Packers if they can win their remaining three games. But they face tough competition from the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks, all waiting for a potential Packers slip-up in the final weeks.

So, will the Packers finish the regular season with a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs? Remember, only one team from each conference will get a bye week so the number one seed carries extra importance.

The Packers are currently ahead of the Saints due to a tiebreaker and are one game ahead of both the Rams and Seahawks. Only one of those teams can win the NFC West and therefore compete for the top seed. It could be settled in Week 16 when the two teams meet.

We’ll start with this weekend, looking at the four games featuring Green Bay, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Seattle. I’ll make a prediction for each game for these teams between now and Week 17 and then work out the playoff seeding.
