Kansas City Chiefs (at Saints)

The New Orleans Saints are the Packers’ biggest challengers for the top seed. Both teams have the same record but Green Bay holds the head-to-head tiebreaker. What if the Packers win and the Saints lose this week?

Well, the Packers would take a one-game advantage and hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. So for the Saints to overtake the Packers, they’d need Green Bay to lose its final two games and win both of theirs.

That’s the difference this week’s games can make in the race for the top seed.

Even better news for the Packers is that the Saints host the Super Bowl champions this week. It’s also unclear whether Drew Brees will be ready to return this week.

If the Packers could handpick one opponent for the Saints in Week 15, it’d likely be the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs lead the AFC, have lost just one game this year, and lead the league for offensive yards.

Like Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes is an MVP contender this year.

If Kansas City can replicate what Green Bay was able to do at the Superdome this season, it’ll go a long way to helping Rodgers and the Pack finish with the No. 1 seed for the first time since 2011.
