The Packers got the job done in Week 15. Here are three takeaways.

Job done. That’s all the Green Bay Packers needed on Saturday night against the Carolina Panthers.

Complete performance? Far from it. But a fast start from the offense and a strong performance from the defense led the Packers to their 11th victory of the season, ensuring they will remain in first place of the NFC for another week and need just two more wins to finish the season in that position.

Despite racing out to a 21-3 lead, the Packers ended up holding on for victory, 24-16. Coincidentally, this was the exact same scoreline as last season’s game with the Panthers at Lambeau Field. And the finish of the game shared some similarities with the defense needing to close the game out.

The Packers will hope to get a little bit of help from Aaron Rodgers’ MVP rival Patrick Mahomes on Sunday. A Kansas City Chiefs win over the New Orleans Saints would help the Packers’ push for the number one seed, but Green Bay can get the job done without needing help from other teams.

Before then, let’s take a look back at the key victory over the Panthers on Saturday night. Let’s look at three takeaways from Green Bay’s 11th win of the year.
